Most Common STDs in Women

Female STD/STI
Female are more likely to contract an STD/STI than males.  Here is a list of the most common STDs found in females.

Baterial Vaginosis (BV)
Chlamydia
Herpes
Gonorrhea
Hepatitis
HIV Infection and AIDS
Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
Syphilis
Trichomoniasis
Vaginal Yeast Infection

Test Me STD tests females for Chlamydia, Herpes, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, HIV, and Syphilis.  For other STDs the best option is to locate your local Health Department for more information.

It is important to remember that not all females will show the signs and symptoms of STDs. This is called being asypmomatic.

Condoms are effective against stopping the spread of STDs they are not 100% effective. The only way to know for certain that you are STD free is to get tested.
